Why Was Elvis Presley Arrested?

While the King wasn’t arrested for hip-shaking, he did break the law on other occasions. He was stopped in 1955 and issued a ticket for exceeding the speed limit by 20 mph. Following a confrontation at a gas station in 1966, he was arrested and charged with disorderly behavior, violence, and assault (station employees and Presley reportedly got into a fight after his fans swarmed the establishment).
