What Happened To Jakub Vrana?
Jakub Vrana is a professional ice hockey forward for the Detroit Red Wings of the National League (NHL). On Wednesday evening, the league announced that the Detroit Red Wings forward Jakub Vrana has been placed in the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program. The NHL/NHLPA player assistance program was created in 1996 to help the players and their families deal with mental health problems, drug abuse and personal challenges.
Vrana was also absent from Red Wings practice on Tuesday. However, for some personal reason, he is practised in Monday’s game versus the Los Angeles Kings, and the details of the reasons are not enclosed.
Vrana also missed the last season due to major shoulder surgery. Vrana is not the only player who enters in NHL/NHLPA player assistance program. Before him, many players were entered into programs and recovered. Last season, goaltenders Carey Price and Conor Ingram voluntarily entered the program.
The reason why Vrana was entered into NHL/NHLPA was not disclosed officially, but the fans are excepted him to recover as soon as possible.
