Unpopular Kpop Opinions

According to pinkvilla, there are five unpopular opinions about K-pop in 2021. Here are they:

  1. iKON has thousands of fans saying how underrated the group was, even though their discography is excellent. This unpopular opinion speaks about how YG Entertainment has failed the group regarding promotional quality and comeback frequency.

  2. If someone doesn’t like an artist, it doesn’t mean that the artist should be disrespected and some toxic groups of people, and at the same time, hardcore obsessive fans of an artist cannot tolerate another artist getting recognition.

  3. Idols must be adored for their talents and in the case of good-looking artists, their beauty is admired more than their talents. This may seem positive on the surface, but for the idols who work to sharpen their skills, this may be a little sad.

  4. If a person stops listening to an artist due to their fandom, then they never were a fan in the first place. This is true in the case of K-Pop groups like BTS, TWICE, BLACKPINK, EXO etc., who have strong fandoms. This can also come in the list of unpopular K-pop opinions.

  5. It is acceptable to like the idol more than the art they make. Some artists are entertaining for some people, and some look beautiful for others. But liking them as people does not have to mean that one must love their music. This can be an unpopular opinion that we have to agree on.
