Jeff Bridges has experienced a difficult two years. Covid evolved following cancer. The scruffy-sweet Hollywood legend, though, is back on our screens and loving every second after surviving both.
Jeff Bridges informed his followers of his progress after receiving a lymphoma diagnosis in 2020, and in 2021 he revealed that his tumor has reduced. The well-liked Hollywood veteran is currently acting in The Old Man, a new TV show.
The veteran actor was still filming his new TV series when he received a lymphoma diagnosis.
His two-year “health experience” began when he heard the news in 2020, when filming was put on hold due to the pandemic.
Speaking exclusively to Sky News, Bridges said, “I got cancer and chemo and then COVID on top of that. And the chemo stripped me of my immune system so I got the COVID pretty bad.
“I was sick for about two years and [it was] very dreamlike, you know.”
The popular actor, whose credits include The Big Lebowski, True Grit, Crazy Heart, and the Tron movies, claims that despite spending months in the hospital, he made an effort to find the positive aspects of his circumstances.

The Oscar winner revealed to his followers in 2020 that he had been given a lymphoma diagnosis. But before vaccines were available, Jeff tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after receiving the happy news from the doctors that his chemotherapy was working.
The 72-year-old worried whether he would ever get the chance to work on the big or small screen again after his health scare, which led to his being in the hospital for more than four months. Additionally, he worried that he wouldn’t be able to accompany his 36-year-old daughter Haley down the aisle.

According to NBC News, Bridges, 71, revealed in October 2020 that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. He stated that he had begun treatment and that the prognosis was “excellent” at the time.

Jeff told, “The chemo wipes out your immune system and when COVID hit me, I had nothing to fight it,” Bridges, now in remission. “I was just really at death’s door a couple of times there.”
