John Mcgale Car Crash
The guitarist of the legendary Quebec band Offenbach, John McGale, died following a major car accident on Sunday in Lacolle, Montérégie. The road trip occurred on the rise of Odelltown, and the vehicle came to an end against a tree before bursting into flames. John McGale was still in the most critical condition several hours after the tragedy. Then he succumbed to his injuries. John died on his birthday, at the age of 66, according to the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN).

One of the Members of the local music scene reveals their sadful at the unexpected loss of one of their own as they learn of the passing of blues-rock major musician in guitarist John McGale, known for his decades-long involvement with the Montreal-based Francophone group Offenbach. John McGale was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday in Lacolle, Que., 60 kilometres south of Montreal. John McGale, the sole occupant, later perished from his injuries, in accord with the Surete du Quebec. In a twist of fate, John McGale died on his 66th birthday. No further details of a memorial service have been revealed.

About John Mcgale
John McGale, a most talented singer and also a musician who played the guitar, saxophone, as well as flute, was enshrined in the North Bay Musicians & Entertainers Hall of Recognition in the year 2017.
