Kim Jung-gi was a cartoonist, illustrator, and manhwa artist, from South Korea. He was famous for his large and highly detailed illustrations. He had a unique ink and brushed artistic style and skill at drawing from memory. Kim could finish his drawings from his imagination without using sketches, visual references, or other preparatory equipment. Often, he used exotic forms of perspective, like curvilinear perspective.

Kim Jung Gi Age
Kim Jung-gi was born in 7th February 1975, on Goyang, a suburb of Seoul. He was 47 years old, when he died from heart attack on October 3, 2022. When he was 19 years old, he studied fine arts education at Dong-Eui University, in Busan. He also served in the Republic of Korea Army in a few interviews. He also stated that his time in the army permitted him to construct a strong visual memory of an array of weapons, vehicles and army situations, which he could remember in his illustrations.

According to Kim’s official biography, his first published work was Funny Funny, published in Young Jump. After this, he started teaching art at Universities and Private schools. Kim worked for the art studio SuperAni. He also taught at the AniChanga Art School, for which he was the co-founder and Kim Hyun-jin. Kim also taught at and provided video content for the Kazone Art Academy. Kazone Art Academy is a private secondary art school located in Los Angeles.

As per allfamousbirthday, Kim had a networth of $1 -$5 million when was alive. He always collaborated with the writers and illustrators. For the first time, he collaborated with writer Seung-Jin Park, for whom Kim illustrated Tiger the Long Tail. He also collaborated more than once with Belgian comics artist Jean-David Morva. In 2014, he provided illustrations for Morvan’s SpyGames comics. In 2016, he provided illustrations for McCurry, NYC, 9/11.

The details about the family of Kim Jung are not known. Apart from his collaborations with his colleagues, Kim gave illustrations for many other properties, including the different covers for Civil War II and 10th-anniversary illustrations for League of Legends. In 2017, he published the Katsuya Terada + Kim Jung Gi Illustrations Collection. It was a collaboration between himself and one of his beloved artists.
