In a statement shared on Instagram, the actress said, “I wanted to address the discussion I’ve seen online and let everyone know that this will, in fact, be my last season on ‘Law & Order: SVU.
The actress hasn’t yet given an explanation for why she left the criminal drama series. She stated that “one of (her) life’s greatest delights and privileges has been performing Rollins.”
There is just no other TV character like Rollins, continued Kelli. She has developed and changed, and so have I.
The actress also thanked the authors, Dick Wolf, Mariska Hargitay, Warren Leight, Peter Jankowski, NBC, and Universal Television for giving her the character of investigator Amanda and giving her a platform.
