Benicia Teacher Arrested
According to school officials, a math instructor at Benicia Middle School was detained on Friday after being accused of engaging in improper sexual contact with a student. In a message to the public, the Benicia Unified School District said that they were made aware of the occurrence earlier this week. Kurt “Mike” Sindel, who is 56 years old, was detained by the Benicia Police Department and is currently on administrative leave while the case is being investigated by the police. When they became aware of the allegedly inappropriate behaviour, school authorities claimed they called the police right away.

The District is still committed to the investigation’s work, “Damon J. Wright, the superintendent of schools, stated in a statement. Officials from the school system claimed that they are giving families, staff, and students resources. Police stated that they would withhold further information owing to the nature of the arrest and to protect the victim. The primary goal, according to Chief Mike Greene, is the safety of our children. “I appreciate the school district’s cooperation and support and am happy we were able to make this arrest.”
