## I Will Predict Your Number – Math Magic Trick – Solution

If you are still trying to get the answer to this, we have a hint for you, there are a few different solutions, and all you need to know is basic math to get the equations right. So let us now see the other solutions and then their respective explanations.

Choose a digit from the grid below. Select a new number now. The number needs to be in a different row and column. You cannot choose a number in the same row (9, 11, or 12) or in the same column if you chose 10 (third row, second column) (2, 6, 14). The numbers that are disallowed should maybe be crossed out.

Choose a third number, this time in a different column and row from the first two.

Choose the fourth number, making sure that it is not in the same row or column as any of the previous three.

Now add the four numbers together for me.

Despite the fact that you freely chose four numbers, I can accurately predict a pattern in the numbers you chose.

Your numbers add up to 34, I’m sure of it.

How does this trick work?

The sum of the four numbers in the matrix’s diagonal is 34. (the trace of the matrix is 34).

Four numbers added together, with neither two in the same column nor row, will always equal 34.
