Harbor Bridge Accident
Around 7:24 p.m. on Wednesday, a significant collision occurred off the Harbor Bridge. Corpus Christi Police are now investigating the incident.
The collision included three vehicles. According to CCPD, there were two fatalities. One of the other two people who was brought to a nearby hospital had critical injuries.
The Harbor Bridge currently has one open lane of traffic heading north. The remaining lanes are still blocked off.

KRIS 6 has been informed by police that a three-car collision claimed the lives of two people. Two further victims were injured severely and sent to the hospital. Investigations continue into the incident’s origin. A different route is advised by officials because the southbound lanes are closed.
The Corpus Christi Police Department tweeted that investigators are working on a significant accident on US HWY 181. There is a temporary closure of the Harbor Bridge.

In a Twitter post, the Corpus Christi Police Department tweeted as follows,
“Update 12:12 am: Lanes of travel on US HWY 181 are open for travel, both northbound and southbound. Please drive safely.
Update 8:42 pm: One lane of travel on US HWY 181 northbound is open for travel. The rest of the lanes are still shut down. Please avoid the area if possible.
Officers are working on a major traffic accident on US HWY 181 (Harbor Bridge). All lanes of travel, both southbound and northbound, will be closed until further notice. Please find an alternate route if possible.”
