How To Activate 5g In Jio On Android?
Jio 5G is recently not available to everyone. It is available on an invite-only basis, and only those who have received the invitation can use Jio’s 5G. Here are the steps you need to follow to check if you have received the invite to enable Jio 5G on your device. In addition, we have added some steps to turn on the 5G network on your Smartphone.

First, open Settings on your Smartphone and move to “Wi-Fi and Network “. Then, open “SIM and Network”. Remember that the settings might have a different name on other smartphones, depending on the Android installed. For example, I am using the OnePlus 9RT for this demo, and you need to move to a Mobile network- Jio SIM to access the settings.

Next, you will get some Preferred network-type options. Open it and choose whatever you want, “5G/4G/3G/2G”, or you can easily select “5G”. This will set 5G as your wanted network type on your Smartphone.

After that, install the MyJio app, which is free on your Smartphone if you don’t have it. Next, open the My Jio app and register with your Jio phone number. Afterwards, you will see a banner on top that says “Jio Welcome Offer”. Tap on it, and the app will move to a compatibility test. Once the process is over, the app will notify you whether Jio 5G is supported on your phone in India.

After waiting for some time, the Jio services are activated. Then you have recharged with Rs 239 plan or above, depending upon you, and you have received the Welcome Offer.

After finishing this process, you must restart your device, so the Jio services do not appear. Then open the dialer app on your android and enter the below code. This will helps you to open the hidden Phone Information page.

On reaching the phone information page, you must choose ” NR only” or “NR/ LTE”. This will helps you to get 4g services because some areas can’t have 55g services so you can use 4g services.
How To Activate Jio 5g In Iphone?

IPhone users with iPhone 12 series and above can use the 5G services by activating it from the cellular settings. Following is the step process to activate Jio 5G on an iPhone.

First, open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Then, navigate to the Cellular menu on the settings.

From here, choose cellular Data Options.

Now to enable 5G, tap on the ‘Voice & Data’ options and either select the ‘5G Auto’ or ‘5G On’ option on your Iphone.

Now your iPhone will connect to a 5G network when available, and you should see a 5G symbol on the status bar, which indicates that 5G services have been activated.
If the option to enable 5G within the settings doesn’t show up, the support is not live yet. According to a report, Apple has not yet opened 5G support on iPhones in India. In that case, a future iOS software update should enable the same on your iPhone.

Which Cities Have Jio 5G Services?
One of the parts of its beta launch, Jio has rolled out 5G services in 4 cities in India, namely Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi. However, since this is based on an invitation trial rollout, only a handful of users may get access to Jio 5G, at least for the time being. Over the time period, Jio decided to add more cities to the program as the infrastructure progressed.
