On March 11, a team video showed him exercising, but on March 21, it was revealed that the Bulls would “draw back” the rehabilitation procedure. The remainder of the 2021–22 season was thus declared to be Ball’s last on April 6. When Does Lonzo Ball Come Back?
When Ball arrives back is still a mystery. News of Ball’s probable absence from training camp and uncertainty for the start of the 2022–23 season broke in early September. According to ESPN’s Jamal Collier, Ball’s knee was thought to be structurally good after surgery, but he was still reportedly in agony when executing specific basketball moves. The bone bruise that actually “predated the January meniscus rupture,” according to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports, has been affecting Ball during his recovery. Ball would have an arthroscopic debridement of his left knee on September 28 and would also be re-evaluated in four to six weeks, the Bulls said before to training camp. Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that there is “belief” that Ball will make a comeback in the 2022–23 campaign, but he is anticipated to be out for “at least a few months.”
Lonzo Ball Injury Update
Lonzo Ball was crucial to Chicago’s successful start to the 2021–22 season. Then an injury occurred. Ball played in just 35 games in his first season with the Bulls due to a meniscus tear in his left knee. Though there was a chance he may be back in time for the playoffs, he was ultimately ruled out. Ball is still battling with the injury some months later, which raises questions about whether he will be available for the 2022–23 campaign.
