M5 Car Accident Today
According to reports, a motorist drove the wrong way down the M5, causing a four-vehicle crash that critically injured three persons.
A Crash took place on October 4, on the southbound lanes of the highway between junctions eight for Worcester and nine for Tewkesbury. One of the drivers was discovered to be intoxicated.
At about 23:55 BST, Gloucestershire Police were alerted to a collision involving two HGVs, a white Vauxhall Astra, and a green Mini hatchback. According to police investigations, one of the vehicles was traveling in the other direction on the carriageway before the collision.
The driver of the green Mini had broken ribs and significant bruises, the driver of the Astra broke an arm, and the passenger in the front seat was severely bruised.
M5 Incident
After the M5 Incident took place, the three injured individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and later discharged. The two HGV drivers escaped without any injuries.
The Mini’s driver was over the legal limit for alcohol when he was breathalyzed on the spot, said the police. Due to their need for medical assistance, they were not arrested at the time; nevertheless, a representative for Gloucestershire Constabulary stated that the matter will be handled in due course.
Police are currently looking for any witnesses to the collision or anyone with dashcam footage of a green Mini.
