Michael Norman, an American sprinter, was born in California to mixed-race parents.
Michael Arthur Norman Jr. is best known for setting the world record for the 400 meters indoors in 44.52 seconds. His time of 43.45 seconds at the 2019 Mt. SAC Relays ranks fourth all-time.
Norman began his career as a sprinter as a teenager. In 2015, he broke the NFHS record at the CIF California State Meet. In Paris, the athlete made his professional debut with the IAAF Diamond League 2018. Throughout his career, he has received numerous honors.
