Overwatch2 Mei Removed
Mei was removed by Blizzard from Overwatch 2 and won’t be back for two weeks. Mei won’t be back in action until November 15th.
Another hero from Overwatch 2 is leaving, this time for around two weeks. Due to a glitch with her Ice Wall ability, Overwatch 2 hero Mei is being taken offline, according to a tweet from Blizzard Entertainment on Monday. If everything goes according to plan, Mei will reappear in a patch on November 15.
“We are temporarily disabling Mei to address a bug with her Ice Wall ability that allows heroes to reach unintended locations.” “We are working to address these issues as quickly as possible and aim to bring Mei back in our next upcoming patch which is set for November 15,” Blizzard tweeted from its customer service account.

Why Is Mei Not In Overwatch 2?
The Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath of the Bride event isn’t the scariest thing in Overwatch 2 right now; instead, a broken Mei is. Players, pay attention and be encouraged: the creature of comp, the devil of swift play, the terror stalking the ladder, is being temporarily disabled to fix a bug.
With the help of a strategically built wall, Mei may defend her team from an impending attack, keep enemies away from an objective, or elevate friends to a better position. This ability functions like a mobile map editor. The Ice Wall can, however, be used by players in Overwatch 2 to access locations they aren’t supposed to. Mei won’t be accessible until the upcoming patch, which is scheduled for November 15th, to fix the issue.
What Reason Mei Removed From Overwatch 2?
Blizzard has temporarily pulled a hero from Overwatch 2 for the second time. You won’t be able to choose Mei in your games for the time being. That will frustrate those of us who prefer Mei.
Community manager Andy Belford provided the following justification for why the damage hero is temporarily not in the rotation on the Overwatch forums: ”We are temporarily disabling Mei to address a bug with her Ice Wall ability that allowed heroes to reach unintended locations when used with their abilities. We are working to address these issues as quickly as possible and aim to bring Mei back in our next upcoming patch which is set for November 15. Thank you for your understanding and patience.”
Mei Removed From Overwatch 2
Fans of Overwatch have loved to hate Mei. Do not be fooled by her grin, upbeat demeanour, or even her adorable companion robot Snowball; her innocent appearance belies a terror that has been stalking Overwatch for a very long time. With her ability to manage crowds and freeze an opponent in place, she annoyed players. And her alternative fire, which fires sharp icicles, made her the best sniper in the game, second only to Widowmaker in terms of damage output. She is one of the most difficult characters in Overwatch to play against; in fact, her temporary removal from the hero pool was one of the Overwatch League’s most memorable moments.
When Will Mei Return To Overwatch 2?
Earlier in the season, Team 4 removed Bastion from all modes and Torbjörn from Competitive Play in order to fix flaws with their specializations. They also took a few weeks off from the game.
The November 15 patch will also include nerfs for a number of heroes, including Genji, Zarya, and Sombra, in addition to Mei’s expected comeback.
