Rachel Cooke was a nineteen-year girl staying at home in Georgetown. When her mother, Janet, left the house for work at 8 am on January 10, 2002. At that time, Rachel was asleep on the couch. When she awoke every day, she decided to go for her training run; she was a part of the school cross-country team and regularly took four-mile runs in the morning. Some of the information believe that Rachel left home at around 9:30 am, and witnesses noticed her at various points on her route. Some more neighbours saw her at 11 am, near the end of her run. Her father, Robert, came to the home at 3 pm to go shopping with her; they were planning this plan, but she was not there, and she didn’t inform also. Her family became more sadful when she didn’t return home that day. More investigations happened, but no trace of her was found. Her family and police are still trying to figure out what happened to her.

Rachel Cooke went missing 20 years back. During then Williamson County Sheriff’Office has followed and spent thousands of leads. Still, its hope remains. Spectrum News 1 recently spoke with Rachel Cooke’s mother, Janet Cooke, a few years ago. She hoped someone out there knew what had happened. “Somebody out there knows something. There’sThere’s no doubt in my mind. It’s just a simple matter of them knowing they must need to come forward with that information”.

Rachel Cooke Disappearance
Rachel Cooke’s house has a wood board with handprints, and the words “Rachel Cooke” are still there. All three of them put their handprints on the wooden board at that time, and Rachel put it with a happy face. Twenty years after Rachel Cooke disappeared, the paint on the board is also dry. The handprints are also slightly destroyed. Twenty years before, Rachel Cooke went missing in Georgetown. On one Monday, Williamson County Sheriff’s Commander John Foster revealed that the case contained no useful evidence. Foster said that if the case is closed, it will probably go through a tip. He added that, 20 years later, detectives still have no relative theories about what happened to Rachel Cooke. Investigators say the goal of this investigation has two options. First, they want to possibly find Rachel Cooke or her remains and give her family a degree of closure. The second is to bring the person or persons responsible for disappearance to justice.
