Ravn Oneus Allegations
Ravn decided to leave the group on October 27, according to RBW Entertainment. The full statement is available below:
“Hello, this is RBW Entertainment. We sincerely thank fans for giving love to the group ONEUS, and with a heavy heart, we are informing you of the departure of member RAVN.
Regarding this issue, Ravn expressed concern about the damage it was causing to the ONEUS members and fans, and he voluntarily decided to withdraw from the group. After careful discussion with the members, we decided to respect his opinion of the voluntary withdrawal. Therefore, Ravn has officially withdrawn from the group as of today.
ONEUS plan to continue their activities as a five-member group in the future. Besides Ravn’s withdrawal, we have discovered false rumors and malicious editing in articles related to Ravn as we plan to reveal the clear facts through a lawsuit. In addition, strong legal action will be taken against indiscriminate personal attacks against the company and the artists. Regardless of whether the post was true, we also feel responsible for what we’re lacking in artist management.
We sincerely apologize for causing concern to many people due to an issue regarding our artist’s private life. We hope for a lot of interest and support for ONEUS’s activities in the future, and once again, we bow our heads in apology for causing concern to the fans.”
What Happened To Ravn Oneus?
ONEUS’ Ravn has left the band after an alleged ex-girlfriend accused him of cheating and manipulating her. The South Korean boy band will now promote as a five-member unit, with Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, and Xion as the only members.
On October 27, 2022, RBW announced that ONEUS’ Ravn had voluntarily decided to leave the group in order to protect it from further harm. The agency stated that it respected the decision of the idol. As a result, Ravn is no longer an official member of the VAMOS group as of today.
On October 14, an anonymous netizen claiming to be Ravn’s ex-girlfriend released audio and video clips accusing the idol of cheating on her and gaslighting her. As a result, RBW suspended the member’s activities until further notice on October 18.
The statement struck two groups of fans: those who supported ONEUS’ Ravn and those who wanted a thorough investigation before taking any major steps.
The notice in particular enraged Ravn’s supporters due to the phrase “discovered false information and malicious editing.” They vented their rage at fellow fans who harassed the idol online, as well as the agency, which removed him despite clearly stating that there was some evil intent involved.
Why Did Ravn Leave Oneus?
On October 14, 2022, the K-pop fandom was taken aback when allegations of cheating and gaslighting against ONEUS’ Ravn spread like wildfire. An anonymous netizen with the Twitter handle @oAKjan3BvAJjqld claimed to be the idol’s ex-girlfriend and posted videos, audio recordings, and screenshots claiming Ravn had cheated on her with other women.
Ravn of ONEUS has received mixed reactions since the allegations were made public a few days ago. On the one hand, they chastised the idol for his attitudes toward women, while on the other, several netizens stated that they would remain neutral until the agency issued a formal statement following its investigations.
ONEUS debuted in 2019 and recently announced their eighth EP, Malus, which will be released on September 5, 2022.
Oneus The Band
RBW formed the South Korean boy band Oneus. Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, and Xion are the members of the group. Ravn left the original six-member group on October 27, 2022. On January 9, 2019, the band released their first extended play, Light Us. Individual members of Oneus emerged from a variety of trainee programmes. During the first half of 2017, Seoho, then known as Gunmin, Keonhee, and Hwanwoong were trainees for RBW on the second season of Produce 101, and Ravn and Seoho were trainees for RBW on the YG survival show Mix Nine during the second half of 2017. Leedo also auditioned for Mix Nine as an independent trainee, but he did not pass the first round.
In late 2017, RBW launched a pre-debut project called “RBW Trainee Real Life – We Will Debut” to highlight the label’s promising male trainees. Keonhee and Hwanwoong of Produce 101 were the first to join the lineup. They took part in the second chapter ‘Special Party’ with their labelmates MAS in December 2017. Keonhee and Hwanwoong were introduced as the pre-debut team RBW Boyz in early 2018, with the addition of Ravn and Seoho in March 2018. In June 2018, they were renamed Oneus. On September 27, Oneus and labelmates Onewe (formerly MAS) released “Last Song,” their pre-debut single.
