Who Is Karlie Guse?
A fantastic article on the Karlie Guse case was recently published in Forensic Magazine (online). Paul Dostie, a retired police detective and co-founder of Forensic Recovery Services, is prominently featured in the Forensic article.
Karlie Gusé, 16, attended a party near her home in Chalfant Valley, a desert town near Bishop, Calif., on October 12, 2018. According to her boyfriend and other partygoers, Karlie smoked marijuana—which may or may not have been laced with another drug—and promptly became ill. She began to feel intense fear and paranoia and eventually called her stepmother for a ride home.
Melissa Gusé, however, discovered Karlie running down a street away from the party at 9 p.m. Nobody knew it then, but that was only the first of two times Karlie would run down a street scared that night. After the second time, no one saw her.

What Happened To Karlie Guse?
A 16-year-old girl went missing near her rural neighbourhood home north of Bishop on an October morning in 2018. Karlie Guse has been missing since.
The National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children re-released an age progression photo of what she might look like today on Friday, her 20th birthday. The image resembles the fresh-faced 16-year-old who left her home in Chalfant early in the morning after spending the night with friends in Bishop.
Melissa Gusé discovered Karlie running away from the party down a street. Melissa told investigators, including the FBI, that Karlie vanished from her room between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. the following day. A neighbour on the other side of the highway—about. Five miles away—thought it was strange to see a young girl out his way so early in the morning. He even commented on her wearing only a T-shirt and sweatpants even though it had been 40 degrees Fahrenheit the night before.

Quantum Oscillator
After being hired as a private investigator, Paul Dostie, a retired Mammoth Lakes Police Department sergeant, is convinced that he not only knows what happened to Karlie but that the scat of coyotes prevalent in the area proves his theory correct.
Vass developed the patented “Quantum Oscillator.” The handheld instrument, according to Vass, isolates and amplifies the natural vibrational frequency of virtually any object or material. A directional antenna is then used to direct this frequency into the environment.
When it comes into contact with an object of a similar frequency, it excites the molecules in that object in the same way that a pulsed laser can. The “artificially excited” molecules then vibrate at a slightly higher state and frequency. A receiving antenna picks up this frequency in the Quantum Oscillator after the object emits it.

Was Karlie Guse Found 2022?
Vass and Dostie put three of Karlie’s baby teeth into the Quantum Oscillator about two months after she went missing. The instrument pushed them across the highway and past the neighbours’ house where Karlie was last seen, starting on the street where her house was. Vass and Dostie eventually found a blood trail a little more than half a mile from Karlie’s last seen location by navigating through the bushes rather than the dirt road.
The Quantum Oscillator was signalling areas up to three miles away from the blood trail, and K9 Bosco was frequently “alerting” Dostie. A week later, Dostie discovered a pair of underwear with animal bites on a bush about 3 miles away from the blood trail.
Dostie contacted the Mono County Sheriff’s Office after the volunteers came across scat with what they thought were human bones. They collected samples and conducted investigations before concluding that the evidence was unrelated to Karlie’s disappearance.
Dostie wasn’t convinced. He had previously used scat to demonstrate in court that a person was no longer alive. As a result, the scat search parties continued. The coyote scat was bagged and GPS’ed by volunteers. Bosco detected 40% of all waste found in the 3-mile-wide search area.
Volunteers with drones offered to join the search party as well. Two drones flew low and slow over the area, programmed to photograph every inch. All that information was sent to a photo interpreter, who identified a bone. Unfortunately, however, it was discovered to be a rabbit bone.

Is Karlie Guse Still Missing?
Karlie’s parents allegedly recorded her twice to show how marijuana affected her. These, however, have never been made public. According to the recordings, Karlie stated that she was scared but didn’t know why. Furthermore, Karlie is said to have asked Melissa if she would call 911 if something bad happened to her, to which Melissa replied, “Yes.” However, Lindsay, Karlie’s biological mother, claims that the recordings show something completely different. Lindsay claimed that the recordings show Karlie pleading with Melissa to call 911, but she refused.
What happened next is unclear because Melissa changed her statement. Lindsay, Karlie’s biological mother, became suspicious when Melissa’s statement changed. Lindsay stated that she received a call from Zach around 9.35 a.m., in which Zach informed her that Karlie was “gone.” According to Lindsay, Zach’s use of the word “gone” was a red flag. Lindsay informed Dr Phil that she believed Karlie died from a drug overdose, which Melissa and Zach covered up.
Zach and Melissa have faced a barrage of abuse due to the investigation and speculation that they were involved in Karlie’s disappearance. There is, however, no evidence to support any of these claims.

Will Karlie Guse Be Found?
A YouTube video by Explore with Us reports that Karlie’s behaviour changed in the days leading up to her disappearance. She was convinced that someone was following her phone, but no one knew why.
Karlie’s case has sparked national and even international interest. Still, police are looking for her, determining where she is, or determining what happened after the last witness saw her. As a result, there has been much speculation about what happened and who was to blame, with much speculative and false information circulating.
If anyone knows where Karlie is, please contact the Mono County Sheriff’s Office at 760-932-7549, option 7. Also, contact the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) at 800-843-5678.
The Gusé family offers a $17,500 reward for Karlie’s safe return. Furthermore, the FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Karlie’s location.
