Where can you find this pair of Art Deco statues? Answer

Since 1932, these statues have served as Cleveland’s “Guardians of Traffic,” watching over the Hope Memorial Bridge. The 4,490-foot steel and concrete span of the bridge spans the Cuyahoga River, carrying Cleveland’s east-west traffic. The “guardian” statues that adorn each of its four pylons were carved from 43-foot-tall slabs of Berea sandstone that were obtained from an Ohio quarry. The bridge, which was once known as the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge, was renamed in the 1980s in memory of Bob Hope’s father, William Henry Hope, a stone carver who had contributed to the bridge’s construction. The Cleveland Major League Baseball franchise declared in 2021 that it would adopt the name Cleveland Guardians in honour of these recognisable monuments.
