Who Is Suga?

Suga is a rapper, songwriter and record producer from South Korea. Min Yoon-gi known is the actual name of Suga. His stage name is Agust D. Managed by Big Hit Music, Suga debuted as a South Korean boy band BTS member in 2013. In 2016, Suga released his first solo mixtape, and Agust D. Suga re-released his mixtape for digital purchase and streaming in 2018. The reissue of his mixtape reached number three on Billboard’s World Albums Chart.

Suga was interested in rap after hearing “Ragga Muffin” by Stony Skunk, stating that it was different from anything he had ever heard before. After hearing Epik High, Suga decided to become a rapper. He joined the company as a music producer. Suga was trained under Big Hit Entertainment for nearly three years alongside members J-Hope and RM. Suga released a free self-titled mixtape via SoundCloud on 15th August 2016.
