Sulli was discovered dead by her manager on October 14, 2019, at around 3:20 p.m. K.S.T. after hanging herself on the second floor of her home in Seongnam, south of Seoul, according to information provided by an employee of the emergency response centre. After chatting with Sulli over the phone the day before at 6:30 p.m. K.S.T., the manager, reportedly went to the house when he couldn’t reach her. There was no bright evidence of criminal activity or a break-in, according to the police, who said they were looking into it as a possible suicide. The Korean police had discovered a handwritten letter in her notebook where she expressed her emotions, but they concluded it was not a note of suicide. Police have requested the hospital to give an autopsy to determine the cause of death on October 15.
