Carlos Marín has died aged 53 in a Manchester hospital. He too became a victim of the deadly coronavirus. The Il Divo member was hospitalized after being known to be in a serious condition on December 8 at Manchester Royal Hospital.

Sharing the news of his tragic passing on Twitter yesterday evening, the singing group said: “It is with heavy hearts that we are letting you know that our friend and partner, Carlos Marin, has passed away.
“He will be missed by his friends, family, and fans. There will never be another voice or spirit like Carlos.
“For 17 years the four of us have been on this incredible journey of Il Divo together, and we will miss our dear friend.
“We hope and pray that his beautiful soul will rest in peace. With Love — David, Sebastien, and Urs.“
Brief Biography
Born in West Germany but raised in Madrid, Carlos started his musical career while he was very young when he recorded his first album at the early age of 8.
Marín married Geraldine Larrosa at Disneyland in California, in June 2006, after a 13-year relationship. After fewer than three years of marriage, they divorced in early 2009
Carlos Marin rose to fame in 2003 when he joined the multi-national classical crossover vocal group, Il Divo. The group featured alongside him, Urs Bühler, David Miller, and Sébastien Izambard.
The quartet group has sold 25 million records worldwide and are the only crossover classical music act to have reached the top spot in America, after their third album Ancora went to number one on the US Billboard 200.
