Step 1:- Remove 3 matchsticks and Make the number 8 as ‘C’. In roman letter C represents a hundred. So in step 1, we made 8 to 100

Step 2:- In this step you have to remove one matchstick and have to obtain half of the number obtained in step one. Remove the horizontal matchstick from ‘C’ and make it as ‘L’.  It represents 50 in roman letters and the number is half of the number obtained in step 1.
