The cause of death was listed as a suspected heart attack. Around the moment of his death, the station’s music abruptly stopped playing before starting again some minutes later, according to the BBC.
“Tim was a hugely experienced and highly talented broadcaster with an army of fans for his daily show,” the station said in a statement. “He is a very sad loss to radio and the county of Suffolk. The entire GenX Radio family are shocked and devastated beyond words.”
