She also acted in The Vampire Diaries spin-off series The Originals. In August 2010, Phoebe Tonkin was cast in the 3D horror movie Bait 3D. In May 2017, SBS announced that Phoebe Tonkin had been cast in their drama Safe Harbour, about a gang of Australians on a sailing trip who come across a boat of refugees.
