Todd Gurley, a running back, announced his retirement. Todd Gurley, a running back who hasn’t played since 2020, announced his retirement in an interview with NFL Network on Thursday, 20th October 2022.
Gurley thanked fellow running backs on Twitter, sparking rumors that he might be considering retirement. Gurley said, “The list is very long, but I want them to know how grateful I am and what they have meant to me as a running back.”
Then Gurley added, “I don’t think I left any doubt.” “But I just wanted to show my gratitude.”
The running back entered the league at age 21 and is now done with it at the age of 26. After not playing since 2020, he is now eager to begin the next phase of his career.
Gurley participated in 88 games in total, rushing for 6,082 yards, 67 touchdowns on the ground, and 12 more through the air. In addition, he made the Pro Bowl in three of his six seasons, including back-to-back appearances in 2017 and 2018.

What Happened To Todd Gurley?
According to NFL Network, running back Todd Gurley decided to retire from the NFL on Thursday. After not participating in his favorite sport since 2020, the 28-year-old decided to retire.
Gurley first entered the NFL in 2015 after the Los Angeles Rams selected him in the first round of the Draft. He spent five seasons with the team, winning the NFC title in 2018, the Offensive Player of the Year award in 2017, and Offensive Freshman of the Year award in 2015. In addition, with 13 and 17, he led the field in rushing touchdowns in 2017 and 2018.
It is undoubtedly not how the running back would have preferred his career to end at the age of only 28. He made a big impact with the L.A. Rams after being selected with the 10th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Gurley was widely believed to be the Rams’ top rushing back for the ensuing ten years. Unfortunately, injuries have spoiled a career that might have gone into the Hall of Fame.
