Since this outfit was revealed on October 18 as part of the Fortnite Mares 2022 update, the community has dubbed it the Lil Uzi Vert Fortnite skin, which makes sense given the similarities. Because the same keywords are being used repeatedly on social media across multiple platforms, Google has noticed and is treating it as a search query. As a result, it has become a trend over time.
Furthermore, some YouTube content creators claimed that the developers had officially added a Lil Uzi Vert Fortnite skin, spreading the rumours even further. Will Lil Uzi Vert ever appear as an Icon series skin in-game?
Those hoping for an official collaboration can put their hopes aside. Because the game is rated PG-13, adding Lil Uzi Vert will be a poor choice, given that he was charged with multiple felonies earlier this year.
He was charged with assault with a firearm, criminal threats, and domestic violence in February. To make matters worse, he was charged with a misdemeanour for carrying a loaded weapon. Carrying loaded weapons is acceptable in Fortnite, but it is not acceptable in real life. As a result, adding the rapper as an Icon series skin is out of the question.
Since the Astroworld incident in November, Epic Games’ screening process for Icon series skins has most likely been tightened. The last thing the developers want is to have to mass-recall cosmetics from players’ accounts or have the community go on strike.
Most parents will not see an artist’s personal life as having nothing to do with cosmetics. As a result, they will prevent their children from playing the game, reducing Epic Games’ revenue flow and earnings. Players will have to make do with Bonejamin, who appears to be a bootleg version of the Lil Uzi Vert Fortnite skin.
