CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — According to police, a man who went missing after telling his family he was going for a hike last Friday was discovered dead in a Charlotte park.
Matt Sullivan, 48, told his family about his plans on Friday and went to McAlpine Creek Park on Monroe Road around 1:45 p.m., according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. He told his family he’d be back in a few hours, but they never heard from him again.
Sullivan was discovered dead in McAlpine Park, according to CMPD. There are no signs of foul play, according to investigators, and no suspects are being sought.
