Adam Vinatieri – 46

The former American football kicker played 24 seasons and is regarded as one of the all-time greats. He began his career with the New England Patriots before moving on to the Indianapolis Colts. Vinatieri began his NFL career in 1996 and will retire in 2021. 

John Carney – 46

Between 1988 and 2010, the kicker was a member of the NFL. Carney was the last player from the 1980s to still be an active NFL athlete when he retired at the age of 46. He led the NFL in scoring in 1994 while playing for the San Diego Chargers.

John Nesser – 46

Nesser, who was born in 1876, was a German-American American football player who held the NFL’s oldest player record when he was 45 years old in 1921. Following that, the offensive lineman retired. He played for Columbus Panhandles in the NFL.
