Netflix announced over the weekend that Henry Cavill, who has played Geralt since the series 2019 premiere, will depart after season 3. Why Did Henry Cavill Leave ‘the Witcher?
Cavill left The Witcher, but no official reason was given. On Saturday, Cavill said on Facebook that it was time for him to move on. In season 4, he announced that he would be laying down his medallion and his swords since “my journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures.” The announcement was made by Netflix in a post on its Tudum website as well.

Who Will Replace Henry Cavill?
Geralt is not leaving. Liam Hemsworth will fill the job in its place. Hemsworth played Gale Hawthrone in the Hunger Games movies, which you might recall. Notably, Chris Hemsworth, who portrays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is his brother. “As a Witcher fan, I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia,” Liam Hemsworth stated in a statement.
